After a two weeks, we have given over PHP230,000 to the Philippine Red Cross (around USD5,360)! (Will update this total soon!) What began as a small effort is turning into a big-hearted contribution from donors and bidders alike. More lovely people have donated pens, so Pens for Aid will extend until next week. I’ve been using a personal PayPal account to handle the donations and PayPal has just sent me an email asking if I’m a nonprofit. 🙂 We’ll need to adjust the payment mechanics while I’m resolving this with them. Winning bidders will need to send the payment to the Red Cross (ushare.redcross.org.ph) directly, then email me their receipt. Thank you for understanding!
